Ice Ruck
Date: Aug 28th 2020 - Sep 30th 2020
The Ice Ruck
You must obtain an ice block at least 10 pounds in weight and ruck with it until it is melted completely, or you hit 30 miles, whichever comes first.
The ice block cannot be inside your ruck.
All participants must also carry an additional 20 pounds dry (sans gear, water or ice).
You must complete this activity in 'one go', meaning you must plan for and execute on a single period and prepare yourself for all associated needs during execution.
No tampering with/active melting of the ice allowed.
This event is guaranteed to have people ask questions on what and why you are doing this.
Upon Completion
You must submit a block pre-ruck picture and post-ruck picture of your gear as well as a picture of your activity record via a fitness tracker of your choice or a GPX file from your ruck. Every fitness tracking site has this option available from their website, rarely is it available via their app. Strava is a good starting point if you do not have anything setup yet.
This event is a qualifier to gain access to Beasts Endurance program. Acquiring access to Beasts Endurance gives you access to invite only, micro-brewed events, direct input on events, designs, ideas, etc and much more! To qualify, you will need to submit proof of completion with a GPX file in your even log at BeastsChallenge.com.
Here is the moral Patch that you will earn upon completion (with a verified pin):
Risks
Please note that rucking, physical activity and prolonged exposure to ice is inherently dangerous. You will need to shift the ice from time to time, deal with cold and prevent prolonged skin to ice contact, unless you like frostbite.
Please be safe.
Cost
The entry for the 2020 Ice Ruck is limited to Season Pass Holders.
